FAQs – Technical Questions

How can I make inflatable latex things?

This FAQ is for technical help on the PPUnleashed website.

What do I need to view the website?

We’ve taken time making PPUnleashed as compatible as possible with different computer platforms and internet browser software so hopefully you should have any problems. It is recommended that you use a recent version of your browser software, if in doubt update it. You will also need Javascript and Cookies enabled in your browser (usually they are by default). It would also be useful to have a Flash plugin installed – version 9 or higher is recommended.

I’m having problems viewing the site, what can I do?

Drop us an email explaining the problem in detail, what you were doing when the problem occured and what browser software you were using. We will try to find out what is wrong and fix any problems that are discovered.

What do I need to view the photo galleries?

You will need to be logged in using your username and password that you received when you created your account. Basic free membership will allow you to browse through the free galleries. Special galleries require a full subscription to access them. Full subscribers are also able to view all gallery images at full size, use your account username and password if you are asked for them.

What do I need to be able to view the movies?

To watch the movie clips your browser must have the Flash Player plugin installed. Most of you will already have this but if you don’t you can download it for free. If you do have the plugin installed you should see a small movie player on any page containing a movie, just click on it to start it playing. You may be asked for your username and password when the movie starts to load, if so just enter the username and password you used to sign up to PPUnleashed – you are a member aren’t you?

I’ve got dialup access to the internet, can I watch the movies?

Some movie files are quite large and will take a considerable time to load over a slow internet connection. It will work but will take some time. If you press play on the movie player to start the movie loading then immediately pause it until it has fully loaded you will be able to watch it uninterrupted. It will take a LONG time to download movies, the site is really designed for users with a broadband/ADSL internet connection.

When I try to watch a movie it asks for a username and password, my username and password don’t work. Why?

You need to be a full member to watch the movies, free membership does not allow you to watch the movies. Use the same username and password you use to log into the site when you are asked for them. Usernames and Passwords are case sensitive so be sure to type them carefully. If you think there is a problem with your username or password please contact us for help.

How can I save the movies to my computer?

If there is a downloadable version of a movie available you will find a link to download it below the movie player. Use the “save link as” menu item on your browser to save the file. If you just click on it the movie may just start playing in your browser.

What format are the movies?

The movies displayed on the website are Flash Video (flv) format, higher quality mp4 versions are available for download or fast connection streaming.

Can I watch these movies on my iPod / mp4 media player?

Maybe, but we haven’t tested this. If you want to donate some funky gadgets for us to test this with feel free to send them to us! :)

The movies keep stopping, Help!

The movies are streamed and start to play as they load, you’ll need a broadband connection to watch them straight away.

If you are trying to watch the high quality “HD” version try switching to teh standard version to see if it will help. You can do this by clicking on the “HD” icon on the movieplayer toolbar so that it becomes ghosted. Alternativly use the quality setting on the movieplayer menu.

There are times when internet traffic can slow down for various reasons which might make the movies become choppy and pause. If this happens you might like to click on the pause button on the movie player until the movie has fully loaded then press play and it should play smoothly.

Most movies have a download link to enable you to save them to your computer to be played back at any time.
